Belinda Taylor offers 30 years leadership in journalism and the arts at local, regional and state levels. She was inaugural Director of the California Arts Council's Arts Marketing Institute, and today works as a consultant in public relations, marketing, brand development and arts education. As a writer she has written for newspapers, magazines, the stage and TV. As a consultant she specializes in communication strategies for small and mid-size non-profits. A former editor at the Oakland Tribune and Theatre Bay Area, she is a graduate of the UC Berkeley School of Journalism, and holds a Certificate in Marketing from UC Extension. She is three-term board president of SF's Playwrights Foundation; member, Writers Guild of America; and, winner of Sacramento Area Theatre Alliance's award for Best Original script for her play, Becoming Julia Morgan, which premiered at California Stage in Sacramento. She enjoys her arts & crafts home in Berkeley, hanging out with her two adult children who live in the East Bay, warm friendships and great colleagues. And a cat.
